Oakwill Installs Flooring At Glan Clwyd Hospital AMU Ward
Oakwill had the pleasure of returning to Glan Clwyd Hospital in Bodelwyddan, Denbighshire North Wales. This time the A&E Department in the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) ward, fitting the entire space with new cap and cove vinyl flooring. We prepared and fitted a total of 440 m2 of flooring, these included 2 wet rooms, reception area and corridors and patient bays.
To start all old flooring in the ward was uplifted then all areas were prepared using Mapei Eco Prime T plus (primer) and Mapei Latexplan Trade (screed) to ensure a sound subfloor for a perfect finish.
Firstly 2 wet rooms were installed with a Tarkett Primo safe T vinyl in “Medium blue”. All other areas in the ward were fitted with a Polysafe Pearlazzo in “Sailcloth” vinyl flooring.
All areas were fitted with Gradus cap & cove former. Adhesives used were Mapei Eco 380 & Fball F60.
All the cap and cove flooring we used is perfect for such a busy hospital as Glan Clwyd. Very hard waring safety floor, easy to clean whilst looking fresh and modern.
